Pope Benedict XVI has had the pleasure of canonizing his first 5 saints at the clossing Mass of the synod. Here is a list of those saints with some information about them. Ignore the title about saints under John Paul, the Vatican just needs to update the website a little bit better. These saints have done some great things and are from a variety of different cultures. They are definitely an inspiration to all christians. Further more, you can also check out the official unofficial final message of the synod of bishops at the vatican site .
